Florence Pugh turned heads on the red carpet last night after she debuted her shaved head at the Met Gala where she stole the show with her new look.
This year's Met Gala saw stars flock to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City as they showed off some stunning new looks.
Pugh, 27, proved her versatility after she arrived with the creative director of Valentino, Pierpaolo Piccioli, while wearing a stunning white drop-waist Valentino gown.
The British actress wore an extravagant feathered headpiece but it was what was under it that got people talking, as she had shaved off her hair.
In a conversation with the New York Times shortly before the Gala, Pugh teased readers about how she was going to look while explaining her emotions around the big night.
"When I'm on those red carpets, there is so much pressure because you're either selling a movie or trying to make a moment. They're nerve-racking. The whole point is that you are expressing yourself with what you are wearing," Pugh said.
She continued: "Every time I step out in whatever dress, that's a version of me that I'm really proud of. So it doesn't matter if people don't necessarily like it. I don't think anything that I do has to be 100 percent loved. Things being up for debate is good. It means people are interested."
There is currently speculation as to why the star opted for such a dramatic change of style, with some believing it could be for her upcoming role in We Live In Time.
Pugh's understated new look alongside her attire and Tiffany and Co. jewelry gave her center stage at the event.
The 27-year-old is often praised for being down to earth despite being one of Hollywood's most sought-after actresses, which is showcased in her home cooking videos.
The actress has an impressive list of credits to her name including Midsommar, Little Women, and Marvel Cinematic Universe films such as Black Widow.
Pugh had been dating Scrubs star Zach Braff before the pair called it quits in August last year, but it would seem that the pair are still on good terms as the actress recently starred in her ex's movie A Good Person.
