Gabrielle Union has slammed a troll who criticized her for wearing g-string bikinis at the age of 50.

The Bring It On actress recently appeared on the Who What Wear with Hillary Kerr podcast to open up about the negative comments she has received for posting pictures of herself in body-bearing swimwear on social media.

"Somebody said, 'You’re old enough to be somebody’s grandma, why are you still in — like wearing swimsuits?'" Union recalled on the episode that aired July 5. "I'm like, 'First of all, they're not just swimsuits. They are thongs."

She declared that despite the disparaging comments, she wasn't going to stop wearing thongs anytime soon, even quipping that she would wear it in death, adding: "And you're gonna see these cheeks until my a** literally falls off. And I might just wear a bikini in the casket."

The Perfect Find star then concluded her rant with a hilarious mic drop moment by saying: "I don’t know. That just might be for you, for that one commenter… This is for you b***h… It’s just gonna be like, me in a thong, like, a**-up in the casket."

In a full interview with the publication, Union - who’s married to former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade - spoke out about how people treat women like they've got "osteoporosis" once they reach their mid-30s.

"You start becoming invisible, and it’s a weird, empty feeling to feel like you're disappearing in front of your own eyes," she said. "You start taking on the same attitude as a society that believes that you lack value."

But the Hollywood star won't shy away from posting swimsuit snaps on her Instagram, and is also encouraging fellow older women to celebrate themselves without waiting for someone to "validate us".

"I don’t want anyone else to feel that invisibility and that sense of worthlessness because the only people that we need to validate us is us," she continued. "And sometimes, the more that you validate your damn self, the more people are like, 'Yeah.'"

"We need to boldly take up space and boldly claim and acknowledge our own beauty in all that we do instead of waiting," Union added.

Last month at a red carpet event in Miami Beach, the Cheaper by the Dozen star sported a risqué gown by designer Burc Akyol that consisted of a bodysuit beneath a completely sheer skirt. The daring dress also included a bodysuit element that gave a clear look at her visible thong.

The mom-of-one gave fans a further look at her ensemble when she posted a series of photos and videos on the social media platform with the caption: "Just enough to get a glimpse."

Her revealing look prompted a response from her husband, who simply wrote "Damn" with five fire emojis.
