TV Chef Gordon Ramsey has opened up about the most famous people he's ever cooked for - and it turns out The Hell's Kitchen star has served up dinner for some pretty big names over the years.

But one diner was more terrifying than all the rest - Vladimir Putin.

During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the famously foul-mouthed Chef Ramsay, 55, revealed that cooking for the imposing Russian leader Putin was a terrifying experience.

Check out the amazing interview below:

"Who has been the most intimidating person that you've ever cooked for?" the talk show host asked him.

"I remember being invited around to Downing Street once to cook for Mr Blair - Tony Blair - and President Putin," said Ramsey, adding: "I genuinely did s*** myself.

"I was thinking, 'Could you imagine if you food poisoned these two? Could you imagine the kind of s*** I would get if I took these two down?'"

Laughing, the chef went on to say that even though it was an "extraordinary experience" cooking for two world leaders, he couldn't wait for it to be over.

"You're standing in between them to say hello," Ramsay described. "And they're asking you about the English picked asparagus, and you're thinking 'get me the f*** out of here.'"

Earlier in the show, the chef described another famous encounter he had had while working at his Chelsea restaurant - this time with none other than Princess Diana.

"My restaurant manager came down to the basement to say, 'oh la la, table two'"

The manager told Ramsey that there was "an amazing lady" at the table, but couldn't get his words out to say who she was.

"I went running upstairs, as you do, to sort of say hello. And it was Lady Di."

Ramsey went on to say that the meeting had stayed with him over the years.

"It was just this amazing moment meeting such a wonderful lady. She was asking me about the specials and how she wanted to eat properly, and have a desert and give me time in between courses."

"[It was] just this incredible six minutes at the table that you never forget," he added.
