Hannah Waddingham has revealed that her daughter made her clutch bag out of cardboard for the 2024 SAG Awards.

The 49-year-old actress attended the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards which took place at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (February 24).

Waddingham was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series category for her role as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso but lost out to The Bear's Ayo Edebiri.

The other nominees in the running for the coveted award were Alex Borstein and Rachel Brosnahan for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary.

Before the ceremony broadcast - which was streamed live on Netflix - the British star was spotted on the red carpet donning a stunning deep red off-the-shoulder gown that featured a thigh-high slit and long train.

Waddingham accessorized her glamorous look with just a few pieces of jewelry, high-heeled shoes, and a special handbag that was handmade by her nine-year-old daughter.

The cardboard clutch bag was adorned with plenty of rainbow colors and had the word "epic" sprawled across it - the best word to describe the actress' Tony Ward Couture look for the night.

"My daughter wanted to contribute, so she’s made me a bag," the stage actor told host Elaine Welteroth on Netflix's red carpet preshow, according to PEOPLE. She added that while the glitz and glam of awards season are "great, " being a mom "is the most important".

The actress revealed in her ET Online interview that her daughter said the purse "goes with everything and nothing," joking that her child is a "well-trained baby".

Many fans were left awe-struck by her decision to take her child craftsmanship to the award ceremony as one user on X (formerly Twitter) gushed that they "will never emotionally recover".

Another viewer shared that her daughter will remember this "lovely encouraging act" forever, while a third said: "What a way to make your daughter feel special, hold lots of stuff, and play along with the ridiculous fashion-related questions people are asked."

A fourth added: "More precious and better thought out than a designer handbag. A work of love and art."

Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer continued its dominance of awards season as it scored several major prizes at the event, with the entire cast winning Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, ahead of Barbie and Killers of the Flower Moon.

Cillian Murphy picked up the male actor in a leading role, which was also contested by Paul Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright, while Robert Downey Jr. won for male actor in a supporting role for playing Lewis Strauss in the film.

Elsewhere, Lily Gladstone triumphed over Emma Stone and Margot Robbie to earn the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work in Killers Of The Flower Moon. Meanwhile, The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal triumphed over Kieran Culkin, Brian Cox, and Matthew Macfadyen to win male actor in a drama series. Pascal was so surprised by his victory that he fought back tears and quipped in his speech that he was drunk, stating: "I’m gonna have a panic attack and I’m gonna leave."
