Harry Styles has debuted a new look - and fans aren’t sure what to think.
The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ singer could be seen rocking some very questionable facial hair in a sneak peek for his new music video to accompany the track ‘Music For a Sushi Restaurant’.
Styles - who is normally clean-shaven - looked almost unrecognizable in the snap, in which he lounged topless in a kitchen with his tattoos on full display.
Unsurprisingly, his devoted fans had quite a bit to say about the new look, which they took to Twitter to discuss.
Many were unimpressed by the beard, which they dubbed “terrifying”.
“That's terrifying,” one wrote. Another asked: “What am I looking at [right now],” while a third tweeted: “SHAVE IT I BEG”.
"Harry styles must be the only guy who looks uglier with a beard," a fourth person added.
Others questioned why Styles has opted for a beard when the song didn’t really warrant it.
“There's not a single lyric in this song where he needs to have a castaway beard like be for real,” one fan tweeted. “There’s not a single lyric in [Music For a Sushi Restaurant] where harry needs to rocking a full beard,” another agreed.
A third wrote: “WHATS THIS GOTTA DO WITH SUSHI.”
Some even thought that Styles looked a little too much like his character Jack Chambers in Olivia Wilde's recent hit, 'Don't Worry Darling'.
"What in the Jack Chambers is this," one tweeted, while another wrote: "Jack chambers is that you??"
Yet while many people were strongly against the beard, a sizable group seemed to think that it actually quite suited Styles.
“It's hot, I said what I said,” one wrote. Another agreed: “Ohhhh he still looks hot af.”
"Never under any circumstances would you ever see me thirsting over a man w a full-on beard… unless it's Harry Style," a third added.
The video for Music For a Sushi Restaurant will drop today (October 27) at 12:00PM ET.
