Jason Derulo has massively helped a college student by tipping him $5,000 after dining at a restaurant.
The 33-year-old 'Ridin Solo' musician went out with his family to eat at Charleston's Restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska, on Sunday (March 5) and left his waiter with a grand prize for his service.
The waiter, whose name is Jordan Schaffer, posted a TikTok video praising Derulo for his act of kindness. He can be seen talking to the hitmaker at his table after receiving the tip and saying: "Wow, my heart's beating really fast."
After showing footage of the moment, Schaffer shouted out the 'Whatcha Say' singer and said: "Hey Jason, thank you. You just paid for a semester at my college. I can't thank you enough."

Breaking out in a smile, the waiter then showed followers a close-up of the receipt and exclaimed: "Dude, check it out, I can't believe this." On the $795.99 check, the total shows $5,795.99 after the eye-watering tip. He added: "I can't believe it!"
The 'Wiggle' artist commented under the video that the server seemed "like a great person" and thanked him "for taking such great care of our fam. Keep spreading the love bro".

The 'Swalla' vocalist also reposted the same video to his own TikTok page on Thursday (March 9) and wrote in the caption: "Blessed to be a blessing," and the clip amassed 1.4 million views, with many people praising him in the comments section.
One user wrote: "This gives me goosebumps! I love this kind of thing so much! How absolutely kind."

Another user said: "It was life-changing for this waiter."

A third person penned: "I really enjoy when celebrities give to others.. it means a lot to them. Some of us are really struggling out here, so this is a big help. U r amazing."

A fourth shared: "So sweet!!!! Made his life a whole bunch easier! Paid for a semester of college!!"

Derulo's kind gesture adds to a list of generous actions by the artist. Back in 2020, he and Hollywood star Will Smith surprised Aiden Yielding, a 14-year-old who had been undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia - with a virtual visit.
Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, only one parent was allowed to be with Aiden during treatment so his father helped him by contacting the two stars to support his son during treatment, per CBS Texas.
In addition to this, in October 2020, the singer bought everyone at Catch a drink after finding out that 'Savage Love' featuring BTS and Jawsh 685 went number one on the Billboard hot 100 charts.
According to Page Six, he dropped a whopping $112,742.30 which shows that he is no stranger to spending on others.
