Jennifer Coolidge had a remarkable response to getting played off after her first-ever Emmy Award win.

The 61-year-old actress - best known for her role as Jeanine in American Pie - won her first ever Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for playing Tanya in HBO's The White Lotus.

The actress was flustered at the surprise win and hilariously shared with the audience that she took a "lavender bath" right before the show and that it made her "swell up inside my dress" so she will have a "hard time speaking".

She was reading off a piece of paper and started thanking the show’s producers when the award show DJ started playing Ray Charles' 'Hit the Road Jack' to get her off stage. But, instead of leaving the stage - she just started dancing.

Unfortunately, she wasn't able to finish her speech but the moment brought out a slew of reactions at the Microsoft Theater and on social media, with many people praising her.

One user wrote: "Everyone can go home now. There is literally nothing else better to absorb this year. This is Madeline Kahn-inspired comedic brilliance."

Another user said: "Jennifer Coolidge is the best. She’s an absolute treasure and we don’t deserve her! Congrats, Ms. Coolidge. You deserved every bit of your win!"

A third commented: "I am convinced this is the only 13 seconds of the Emmys I'll ever need to see."

A fourth user joked: "When someone is trying to rush me out of the shower but I'm not done with my performance yet."

One fan protested that Coolidge was given barely a minute to give her speech and suggested producers were overly forceful in playing her off - especially since some other winners were given longer times.

They wrote: "I demand the person who decided to cut off Jennifer Coolidge's speech to never be anywhere producing an awards show for the rest of his/her life #Emmys."

The Legally Blonde actress will be the only star from Season 1 of The White Lotus to return for Season 2, which will be set at a resort in Sicily in October.

Coolidge returns as her affluent character Tanya McQuoid, who travels to the Sicily resort with her young employee played by Haley Lu Richardson.

In an interview with Deadline in July, the star said the show: "feels completely different … almost like a different show." and that it’s "even more complicated than the first one."
