JoJo Siwa has shockingly revealed that her home was invaded by armed robbers while she was on a cruise ship celebrating her 20th birthday.
The YouTube star and her family were on board the Quantum of the Seas, which was heading to Alaska to celebrate her turning 20 years old on May 19th.
She shared pictures and videos on Snapchat of her and her family having the best time. They were seen attending a dance party, going to the casino, and even having an extravagant dinner at the chef's table where she was presented with a special birthday dessert.
However, her celebrations were cut short as she took to the social media app to reveal that her house had devastatingly been raided by armed burglars while they were out of town.
The Dance Moms alum shared a video from the security camera showing the masked intruders, who had their hoodies up and fastened tight around their faces. The footage revealed that they entered the property at around 2:40 AM and ran out of the home while clutching stolen items.
Siwa informed her fans that she spent about two hours on the phone with LAPD, as well as speaking to her family and the security company in the wake of the break-in.
In addition to this, she said that it made her "sick" to watch the robbers running down her spiral staircase with her belongings in their hands. She also admitted that the "very terrifying" ordeal made it very hard for her to fall asleep.
Nevertheless, the dancer looked at the bright side and said: "But the good news… no one was hurt, all our puppies are good, there is lots of materialistic damage, but that can all be fixed." She also added in another story: "I’m just happy that my family and pups are safe. Most important thing to me."
She also shared some words of wisdom for her followers, adding: "Do me a favor and hug your people extra tight tonight. Life is SCARY. And you never know when anything could happen."
The robbery comes amid a difficult few weeks for Siwa and her family as she heartbreakingly revealed that her beloved puppy had died after an accident.
While she didn’t reveal how her brown fluffy pup named Tooie had passed away, multiple reports claimed that he had been killed by a coyote in the backyard.
The social media star told her followers at the time: "Going to miss this sweet little boy so much. 2 months ago our puppy Tooie joined our family and he brought the MOST joy, laughter, and messes into our life."
"My heart hurts so much to say that this morning he was involved in an accident and is now in puppy heaven," she continued. "Thank you for bringing light to my life when it was dark Tooie boy, See you one day. Rest in peace my lil sweet boy."
Thankfully, Siwa confirmed that the rest of the family’s pets were OK in the wake of the recent break-in, and while possessions can be replaced, the most important things in her life - her family and dogs - were all safe and well.
