Bam Margera has reportedly been placed on 5150 hold by police officers after being located in Los Angeles.

As reported by TMZ, the 43-year-old former Jackass star was found after an appeal by his brother Jess Margera for help locating him and was promptly put on a 5150 hold - which is the number of the section of the Welfare and Institutions Code.

This is a legal action in California law that allows an adult who is experiencing a mental health crisis to be involuntarily detained for a 72-hour psychiatric hospitalization, per Treatment Specialists.

This first began on Sunday (June 4) after Bam's brother took to Twitter to ask if anyone had information on the embattled former reality TV star's whereabouts.

Read Jess Margera's tweet below:

"If anyone in the LA area knows of bams current whereabouts or a hotel he might be at please call the LAPD immediately. I am trying to get them to ping his phone but as usual, it’s a whole huge process and I don’t think we have that kind of time. If you guys could all retweet this that would be really cool of you. Thanks for your help," he wrote.

Jess provided an update on his brother's whereabouts later, revealing that Bam had been located, but heartbreakingly added that he sent a devastating message to his family.

"They found him safe he texted me and my parents at 6 am this morning saying he loves us he loves Phoenix and he is 'at peace' and that he took enough pills to stop his heart. And some really heartbreaking dark s**t. Thanks to everyone who shared info today," he wrote.

Bam's disappearance comes after he issued an alarming and shocking message to his ex-wife, Nicole Boyd, in regard to their shared son, Phoenix.

Nicole had filed for divorce this February citing irreconcilable differences and asked the court to award her $15,000 a month child support, as well as legal and physical custody of their child.

The professional skateboarder posted an explosive rant on social media - which has been obtained by TMZ - claiming that his estranged ex-wife has cut off his contact with Phoenix over the past two months and contended that his family is "driving" him to drink.

Bam said: "This is an official message to anybody that cares about me whatsoever. I haven't seen Phoenix in two f**king months and I am so f**king fed up.

"I cry every day, I miss him so much and I know I have to wake up every day knowing that I probably won't get to talk to him or see him," he continued, stating that his former partner, his mom, and his "pep-talking dad who tells me nothing" drive him to drink.

He also added a heartbreaking threat: "I am going to smoke cr**k with the bums down at the boardwalk until I am dead or unless you deliver me f**king Phoenix. So get to work Nicki or anybody that wants to help. I want Phoenix."
