Kanye West is doing whatever he can to remain close with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian...literally.

The rapper has bought a mansion across the street from Kim and their four children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, TMZ reports.

Kanye's new $4.5 million home is reportedly just across the street from Kardashian's in one of Los Angeles' exclusive neighborhoods.

The five-bedroom home is just over 3,650 square feet, and reportedly cost West $421,000 over the home's asking price. It includes a swimming pool and a stable for horses.

The couple originally lived in Kim's house together, which Kanye designed over a number of years. After the couple split, the rapper gave his interest in the home to the reality TV star.

The house purchase is the rapper's latest desperate bid to repair his relationship with Kim, who is reportedly currently dating SNL comedian Pete Davidson.

During a recent concert with Drake at the La Memorial Coliseum, he changed the lyrics to a song, singing that "I need you to run right back to me, more specifically Kimberly."

In November, he went on a rant claiming that God wanted him and Kim to be together.

"The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships," the rapper said at the time.

"We've made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason - I didn't know I was going to be in front of this mic - but I'm here to change the narrative."

At the time, he said he has to be "next to my children as much as possible" after Kim filed for divorce in February this year.

"I'm trying to express this in the most sane way, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back home," he said. "If the enemy can separate Kimye, there's going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is ok.

"But when God brings Kimye together, there's going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma the devil has used to capitalize to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store."

It comes as Kim was seen holding hands with her rumored new beau Davidson.
