Kanye West is no stranger to controversial statements, but his latest Instagram tirade has raised a lot of eyebrows.

The 45-year-old rapper - who now simply goes by Ye - recently uploaded an image of former sister-in-law Kylie Jenner to his Instagram account in a now-deleted post, where he also claims he has a crush on her best friend, Anastasia Karanikolau (AKA Stassie).

In the caption, the father-of-four writes that he has: "A CRUSH ON STAS," before adding that he'd gotten Johan Fleur - Balenciaga's VIP and couture relations director - to "sneak" her into the brand's fashion show during Paris Fashion Week last month.

He cited that "dope people should not be held back," as a reason for getting Stassie into the star-studded event. Despite Ye's claims, however, a post made by Kylie's BFF proved that she was actually invited to the Balenciaga show.

In a recent photo upload to her Instagram, where she wore head-to-toe Balenciaga, Stassie wrote: "A dream is an understatement... Thank you Balenciaga for having me [sic]."

Kylie and Stassie have been close friends since middle school, having met at a Barnes and Noble as young tweens, per People. They fast became friends, with Stassie having spoken multiple times about their close bond.

"We know too much about each other. We're stuck with each other forever," she told Bustle magazine in 2021.

"My mom struggles with addiction, so that was a big thing. We have a very distant relationship. I've seen her maybe a couple times in the past few years," Stassie stated, before adding that her friends, like Kylie "have always been my rock."

Given the pair's solid friendship, Ye's recent statements about the influencer have come across as rather bizarre. However, the rapper-turned-fashion-designer has been no stranger to odd remarks lately, after recently rehashing claims that his ex Kim Kardashian prevented him from seeing his daughter, Chicago, on her fourth birthday.

In January, Ye went public with claims that Kim was keeping him from attending Chicago's birthday, an accusation that Kim has vehemently denied - stating that it was Ye who had wanted separate birthdays for his daughter. Soon after the backlash following his White Lives Matter fiasco at Paris Fashion Week, Ye brought up the incident again, in a since-deleted Instagram post.

"So why did everyone feel so free to attack me about my t-shirt but Candace Owens was the only public figure to say that it was wrong for the Kardashians to keep me from seeing my daughter," he had written.

Another ex-sister-in-law, Khloé Kardashian hit back in the comments, stating: "Ye, I love you. I don't want to do this on social media but YOU keep bringing it here. You are the father of nieces and nephews and I'm trying to be respectful but please STOP tearing [Kim] down and using our family when you want to deflect."

"Enough already. We all know the truth and in my opinion, everyone's tired of it," the 38-year-old added.

The Good American founder finally concluded with: "Please leave [Kim] and the family out of it so that the kids can be raised peacefully."
