Kate Beckinsale has praised Keanu Reeves decades after an awkward incident that occurred at the Cannes Film Festival in 1993.

Taking to Instagram, the 49-year-old opened up about the first time she attended the prestigious event, where a wardrobe malfunction occurred.

Thankfully, before things could take a turn for the worse, Reeves and fellow actor Robert Sean Leonard, who also attended the event alongside the pair, stepped in to offer the Pearl Harbor star a helping hand.

"I had bought the bodysuit in the Sock Shop at the airport and when I got in the car to drive to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington, all the poppers in the crotch popped themselves open and it flipped up like a roller blind," Beckinsale wrote alongside a vintage photograph of her and the two men. "I didn’t feel it was appropriate to go delving around in my undercarriage with all of us in the back of the car so I just quietly panicked."

She continued: "I walked out onto the biggest red carpet of my life and whispered to Keanu and Robert Sean Leonard what had happened. In this picture, I am holding the front gusset down and the two of them are holding the back gusset."

The thankful actress went on to describe the pair as "absolute legends" adding that even though they may not have understood "the physics of what was happening or even heard the word 'gusset' before," they "both jumped in to save me no questions asked."

Those are some true friends, that's for sure.

But are we really surprised?

Keanu Reeves has built up quite the reputation for being one of Hollywood's ultimate sweethearts. From always being polite and gracious to fans to sharing wise words of wisdom with strangers, the 58-year-old Matrix star seems to be a gentleman all the way down to his core.

More recently, it was said that the star had been extremely generous when it came to thanking his stunt-team that worked alongside him on the massive project that was John Wick: Chapter 4.

According to multiple reports, Reeves apparently gifted his four-man team a personalized Rolex Submariner watch each. It was also said that he got a bunch of t-shirts made that had the number of times his character killed each stunt man over the course of the entire movie - a hilarious, yet thoughtful touch.

And as for Robert Sean Leonard, well, we know this man is the definition of humble.

In an old interview with PlayBill, the now 54-year-old opened up about the difficulties he has accepting his position in society when overall it is "unjust", according to him.

"A lot of times I do feel that society is unjust in many ways, and that I happen to be on a pretty good end of it," he told the outlet. "I happen to be sitting pretty in the way society is run in this country. I'm certainly one of the lucky ones."

Just a few years later, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he also made a statement that has now become a staple in my life, as well as many others'.

When asked if he was "hungrier" when he was younger in terms of his career, he disregarded the notion that he wanted to chase money and massive blockbuster roles, saying: "I want to read books and go for walks and make dinner. I guess there are people who love working and that’s great. I’m not one of them."

We stan a relatable king.
