The oldest Kardashian sister Kourtney has been slammed online for developing a close relationship with a 19-year-old influencer.
The 41-year-old has become close to 19-year-old TikTok sensation Addison Rae, so much so that she has been forced to defend their relationship online.
She posted a picture of herself and Addison lounging together in bikinis in a pool that was captioned: "Two more days of summer."

However, while this might have been intended to be a celebration of friendship on Kourtney's part, the 41-year-old's fans were not impressed that she was spending time with someone so young.
The pair met back in March when Kourtney's 10-year-old son Mason made a cameo in one of Addison's TikTok videos.
Reacting to the picture of the pair, one Instagram user wrote: "this friendship still weirds me tf out."
A second remarked: "i cant imagine what their conversations are made up of [sic]."
A third wrote: "This frienship [sic] is so confusing."
A fourth remarked: "What's my girl doing with someone half her age tho."
A fifth questioned: "Did you adopt her??"
As per News.com.au, a sixth remarked: "41 and hanging around with 19-year-olds in swimming pools."
Needless to say, the controversy surrounding the age-gap friendship didn't go unnoticed by Kourtney herself, who decided to respond to this comment.
"Do you suggest a better place?" she wrote. "I'm looking for ideas..."

Clearly, the mom-of-three couldn't care less about what people think about her and her younger friend.
This comes after Kourtney Kardashian opened up about responding to mom-shaming trolls in candid interview earlier this year.
Speaking to Rose Inc on the subject of how she copes with trolls, Kourtney stated: "I really try to not give energy to things that aren't worthy of my energy. Once in a while, I may respond to a negative comment for fun, or if something really does bother me, I definitely have the platform to correct it. But I usually don't think twice."

She continued: "The worst, though, is when people give unsolicited parenting advice. No one knows my kids better than me. I've got this. I'm good, thanks ... Being a new mom, you feel judged in general. I remember people commenting on every little thing. If I was wearing flat shoes, they'd be like 'Oh, now that you're a mom you can't wear heels?' and if I wore heels, they'd be like 'You're gonna carry your kids in heels?!'"

She added: "As moms, we should try to be a better community of women lifting each other up. We're all going through our own struggle, whatever it is we're feeling guilty about."
