Kylie Jenner has lost over 230,000 followers amid the controversy surrounding her post showing support for Israel.

Over the weekend, the 26-year-old sparked a debate online after she took to her Instagram Stories to repost a solidarity message in favor of Israel amid the ongoing conflict with Palestine.

The post in question, which was originally posted by the account @standwithus, included the flag of Israel and a caption that read: "Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel."

While fans couldn't respond to Jenner's post directly on Instagram, they took to Twitter, better known now as X, to criticize the beauty mogul for reposting such a "divisive" message in support of Israel, who have been accused of creating an "apartheid state" in Palestinian occupied territories by multiple Human Rights organizations.

With the subject matter being so divisive, it was only expected that Kylie voicing her support would result in a heated response.

Not only that, but some pointed out that the influencer is close friends with the Hadid sisters, Bella and Gigi, who are known for supporting Palestine.

"Absolutely crazy to see Kylie Jenner supporting Israel while her friend Bella Hadid has been advocating for Palestine for YEARS like I'd be sick to my stomach," one X user tweeted.

In a U-turn decision, the Kylie Cosmetics owner - or her team - decided to delete the post without any further explanations, which yet again, sparked another heated debate online about the star going back on her stance.

After the backlash, it seems as though a handful of people are done with the reality TV star.

As per Social Blade, Jenner has lost over 230,000 followers on Instagram in the days since the controversial post and the numbers continue to drop as more and more people turn to social media to call out the star.

But to be honest, I'm sure Jenner won't be crying over the loss as it's only a drop in the ocean of her 399.8 million followers.

Jenner joins a long line of other Hollywood celebrities to also repost @standwithus's Instagram post including Mandy Moore, Claire Holt, Ashley Tisdale, and Sofia Richie.

Conflict between Israel and Palestine resumed last weekend amid a dispute over control of the Gaza Strip and over 1000 people have been killed in the crossfire so far.

Tensions have flared in the area for several decades and the latest conflict comes amid a renewed breakdown in relations between the two parties.

Our thoughts at this time go out to all the innocent lives lost.
