Kylie Jenner attended the Met Gala in a bridal-inspired gown designed by Off-White - but fans aren't exactly digging the ensemble.

The Met Gala is often described as the biggest night in the fashion calendar. The dress code for this year's event was "Gilded Glamour" to match the theme of "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" - a continuation of last year's "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion."

At the glitzy occasion on Monday, the 24-year-old reality star wore an Off-White wedding dress and backward baseball cap as she honored the late Virgil Abloh. The dress was accompanied by a handmade bustier with mesh capped sleeves with the words "off", a ruffled organza skirt, and a veiled baseball cap.

The makeup mogul posted her look on Instagram with the caption: "Virgil and i were supposed to go to the Met together before it got postponed in 2020. to celebrate V tonight and his incredible legacy truly means the world to me.

"I’m humbled to wear this dress and honor my talented beautiful friend. we felt you tonight Virgil and love you forever & thank u to the entire @off____white team !!"

Of course, stars are known for grabbing attention with their Met Gala looks.

But while Jenner's outfit for this year was a tribute to her friend and designer Abloh, users online still contend that her past Met Gala looks have been "far better" than her choice for this year.

One tweeted: "Kylie literally did a whole Harper’s Bazaar shoot that would have been perfect inspo and she really turned up in that.. off white did her dirty #MetGala."

Another wrote: "Literally the worst Kylie has ever looked. And I always like what she wears. #MetGala."

A third said: "How we go from this to this? Really? Kylie at Met gala #KylieJenner #MetGala."

One more expressed: "this is the worst outfit i’ve ever seen on kylie i’m so serious."

This is the mother of two's first major red carpet look since she welcomed her and Travis Scott's second child in February.

She was joined on the red carpet by older sisters Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian, as well as Kendall Jenner and mom Kris Jenner.
