Logan Paul and Dillon Danis finally faced off in a long-awaited brawl on Saturday night, but the pair's grudge match ended up being deemed "embarrassing" by fans.

The pair went head to head on October 14 following months of goading by Danis, who had zeroed in on Paul's fiancée Nina Agdal's dating history as a way to rile up his opponent.

When the pair finally got in the ring - with some fearing the fight wouldn't even go ahead until the last minute - their bout ended up being pretty underwhelming for fans.

Despite Danis's trash talk ahead of them getting in the ring in Manchester, England, the 30-year-old MMA fighter barely threw a punch in the first few rounds, before getting disqualified by attempting to choke out the YouTuber, leading a mass of security to swarm the ring.

Paul, who was already ahead on points in every round, was awarded the win as Danis was disqualified from the contest.

Despite the excitement in the final round, fans were left pretty disappointed by the way the boxing match actually went, after it had been so heavily hyped up in the months before it.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, branding it "embarrassing" as they were expecting a more exciting battle between the two men.

Fans wrote: "Dillion Danis did all the trash talk in press conference and Twitter for months only to loose every single round against LOGAN PAUL. The most embarassing performance in the history of the sport."

Another added: "Dont wanna hear s**t on the internet about this. Great job Logan Paul, Deserve respect. Dillon Danis was embarrassing and disgrace to boxing. Also Dillon was taunting for no reason didnt throw a punch for three rounds, Did a backhand. It was sad."

Others wrote: "After months on twitter banters just to lose to Logan Paul is really embarrassing for Dillon Danis" and: "It's embarrassing; I don't know what has become of the good old days. It's just shameful that there are so many idiots who even support and buy into such a clown event."

Such was Danis's persistence in his attacks against Paul, using his fiancée's dating history as ammunition that Agdal was even granted a restraining order against the fighter ahead of the bout.

Despite the order being in place, Agdal was there in the arena alongside Paul's mom and his brother Jake Paul, to see him come out victorious.

Paul and Danis had been co-headliners of the event alongside KSI vs Tommy Fury as the final fight.

Although there was slightly more action in KSI and Fury's match, there was still some controversy over Fury being declared the winner based on the judges' decision.

One thing's for certain, you can always expect the unexpected in influencer boxing.
