Machine Gun Kelly has recently shared a video that showed the excruciating process he had to endure in order to get his latest piece of body art.

The 33-year-old, who is also known by his real name Colson Baker, took to Instagram yesterday to give fans a look into one of the most complex, and daring tattoos he's ever gotten - a complete blackout tattoo from his arms to the bottom of his chest.

Machine Gun Kelly shares video of excruciating blackout tattoo process:

“Today starts the day that I start the physical change of my body. We’ll see what this turns out to be," the singer could be heard saying in the clip before switching to close-ups of a tattoo gun and lots of black ink.

Over the course of multiple weeks, MGK could be seen sitting for lengthy sessions of tattooing, which had a drastic impact on his body.

At one point, blood could be seen dripping down his arm while his elbow also swelled up later on in the process.

"This is the most painful s*** I’ve ever experienced in my life," he noted in the video.

In the caption, he also added: "I heard that they thought I went sleep for this..."

Thousands of fans commented on the post, with some loving the new look, while others were hoping it would grow on them over time.

"I feel bad for all the artists that tattooed him over the years. That’s like spray painting black over someone’s mural on a wall," wrote one user while another also added: "Your old tattoos were iconic."

"Badass, love seeing the whole process," this Instagrammer stated and she wasn't the only one loving it, as another chimed in commenting: "I love it!!!!! Looks absolutely sick af!"

And this user added a whole emotional twist to the piece of art writing: "Sometimes you carry so much pain inside you can’t really contain it anymore, and the only way to breathe again is to redirect that pain to something else. I can only imagine the amount of pain you had stored inside that you needed to replace it with this one. Definitely looks like a rebirth. I hope you have some peace now."

The star didn't give fans a more in-depth look at the piece in that specific video, but he has previously posted pictures of it complete - much to his 8.9 million fans' happiness - and let's just say it's truly a sight to behold.

Speaking of the new tatt, MGK's former fiancée described it as "really elegant."

While appearing on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, Megan Fox addressed the topic, telling the host that she's totally on board with the body art.

"...The relationship with the tattoos that he had was very conflicted emotionally, whatever they represented — and I don't actually know — but he didn't like to revisit those memories of some of the tattoos that he had and he wanted to get rid of them," Fox told Cooper.

"It's like an elevated version of all those tattoos that were pieced together," the 37-year-old went on to say. "I think it's really elegant and it's kind of ahead of its time. I think in 10 years it'll be a trend."

Elsewhere, she also confirmed that the pair's engagement had officially been called off.
