Mama June Shannon has asked her followers for prayers as her daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell continues to battle terminal cancer.

Anna, 29, was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January and had undergone radiotherapy and chemotherapy to try and combat the disease.

However, she stopped chemotherapy earlier in the year after doctors determined that her cancer was terminal. Mama June had earlier revealed that Anna was having a "rough" time with chemo and had been sleeping a lot throughout her treatment.

The reality TV star, 44, has now taken to social media to ask for prayers for Anna and the family in what she says is the "last post" she will share while Anna is alive after things "changed" in the last few weeks.

Mama June and her family rose to fame on the reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, focused on her youngest daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson's pageant competitions when the now-18-year-old was a young child.

Taking to TikTok and Instagram, Mama June told her followers that she and her daughters see all the messages from concerned fans but would not be replying to anyone at this time.

She revealed that things "had changed in our lives the last few weeks that are totally out of our control", adding: "God has all their faith, has all the cards, but Anna is still with us.

"But as we are going through this transition, we are asking still for continued prayers for Anna, continued prayers for the family."

She told her followers not to expect any further posts from her while Anna is alive, adding in her caption: "This will be my last post til that time comes for us we are asking for continued prayers and thought til I post again we r enjoying the time and making the memories that will last us a lifetime."

Mama June also shared her appreciation for all the love and well-wishes fans had sent her and the family, adding in the video: "We see all your messages even though we’re not responding back to y’all.

"I’m going to sign off, this will be my last message. When that time does come, we will also as a family come to y’all on social media because Anna would not have it any f**king other way.

"But we love you guys, and continue to pray for us as a family. So please don’t take it offensive when we don’t answer your text messages, we don’t answer your messages here on Instagram, on TikTok, or on Facebook.

"We’re spending this time as a family and our enjoying our moments and making memories."

Her 23-year-old daughter Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird also reposted her mom's video, adding: "Say a prayer for our family."

Anna - who shares her two daughters, Kaitlyn, 11, and Kylee, eight, with her ex-husband Michael Cardwell - was diagnosed with cancer after suffering from stomach aches.

It was discovered she had adrenal carcinoma, which had also spread to her lungs, liver, and kidney.

This type of cancer can affect people of any age, but is most commonly seen in children under five years old, or in adults in their 40s and 50s, and its symptoms usually include weight gain, back pain, abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, and muscle weakness.

Anna is Mama June's eldest child, and she revealed in July that Anna's kids are "aware" of their mom's diagnosis, though Kylee is "too young to really comprehend" the severity of the situation.

Mama June told Entertainment Tonight that Kaitlyn had become "clingy" since finding out her mom was sick, adding: "For me, it’s an emotional rollercoaster sometimes. Mentally it’s always on my mind."

Our thoughts remain with Anna and the whole family at this difficult time.
