Margot Robbie has been named the hottest woman of 2023 after topping Maxim Australia's annual Hot 100 list.

The Australian actress, 33, has had a pretty huge year with the release of her blockbuster movie Barbie, in which she plays the lead role.

The Greta Gerwig-directed movie went up against Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer at the box office and ended up emerging victorious, racking up a huge $1.2billion at the worldwide box office.

Now, Margot has another accolade to add to her ever-growing list of awards and recognitions, as she has topped the Hot 100 list for the second year running, and the fourth year overall.

Before finding Hollywood fame in The Wolf Of Wall Street, Margot's career began at the age of 17 when she got a role in Neighbours playing Donna Freedman.

The character was initially supposed to be a guest role but ended up being made a permanent fixture where she remained for the next three years.

As well as Margot in the top spot, the list also named professional footballer Sam Kerr in second place, while another Neighbours alum Delta Goodrem was in third place.

London-born Australian singer and actress Sophie Monk comes in at fourth place, while Australian singer G Flip finishes up at fifth.

Other notable names in the ranking include Kanye West's rumored 'wife' Bianca Censori who made number 18 - as well as a lot of headlines for her outfits and antics with her man this year.

The couple have rarely been out of the spotlight since getting together, even being banned from an Italian boat service for life after allegedly committing lewd acts on board, after Kanye was pictured with his backside on show while riding on the tourist service.

Actress Rose Byrne came in at number 34, model Miranda Kerr was at 40, and Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett came in at 48 and 49 respectively.

Maxim's editor-in-chief Santi Pintado said, via Daily Mail: "This year the definitive list of Australia's most influential, successful, powerful, newsworthy, talented, and beautiful women features an eclectic mix of high-profile names such as Margot Robbie, The Matildas, Delta Goodrem, Kylie Minogue, Sophie Monk, Penny Wong and many more.

"Our annual HOT 100 is a legacy list that has evolved over the past dozen years. In 2023 it continues to celebrate the outstanding Australian women who have influenced, impressed, or impacted us with their aptitude, intellect, humor, headlines, sassiness, and overall incredible talents.

"From athletes to actresses, comediennes to TV personalities, musicians to politicians, and news presenters to models and influencers, the 2023 Ultra Tune MAXIM HOT 100 list covers a fantastically diverse field that won't disappoint our loyal followers and all Australians alike."

Congratulations to Margot and all the other well-deserved names on the list!
