Margot Robbie recently revealed that she took an opportunity to kiss Brad Pitt during filming for her new film Babylon even though it wasn't scripted - but was left having to defend herself due to the backlash she received.
The 32-year-old plays the aspiring actress Nellie in the upcoming film set in 1920s Hollywood, which follows the industry changing from silent movies into talkies.
Nellie is attempting to make her dreams of Hollywood stardom come true while Pitt, 58, plays Jack Conrad who is struggling to cope with the imminent changes to his line of work.
Robbie recently sat down with E! News where she revealed she convinced the director that she should spontaneously kiss Pitt while filming a scene - even though it wasn't in the script.
Robbie said: "I said I think Nellie would just go up and kiss Jack... And Damien [the movie's director] was like, 'Well, she could- wait, hold on. You just wanna kiss Brad Pitt.'
"I was like, 'Oh, so sue me. This opportunity might never come up again.' And he was like, 'It does work for the character,' and I was like, 'I think so.'"
Robbie received some backlash online after her comments, with one person saying: "Are we gonna let it slide as usual cos it's involved a woman not a man? Y'all find it beautiful not harassment, right?"
Many others echoed the sentiment that her comments would be seen differently if it was a male actor saying it about a female co-star - so Robbie was forced to defend herself when speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the movie's premiere.
She said: "We all established our boundaries before making this movie because it's a movie that really pushes boundaries in a lot of ways." She then added: "We're all good."
As cited by The Daily Mail, it appears as if Pitt also didn't want to pass up the opportunity for a kiss. "No [it wasn't in the script]. I had asked for it if we can write that in," he said.
"I might add too that Nellie [Margot's character] kisses fifteen people in this movie," he added jokingly. So it would appear both of the Hollywood A-listers were on the same page!

This isn't the first time the pair have appeared on screen together, as they took both appeared in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Babylon is due to be released on January 6.
