The mom of Luke Littler's girlfriend has come out and defended her daughter after the news of the young couple's age gap elicited some pretty strong responses online.
Luke Littler recently made history as the youngest-ever player to reach the finals at the World Darts Championship after beating out some big-name players all around the world in order to achieve the massive milestone.
Last night, the young darts player secured a dominant victory against 2018 world champion Rob Cross at Alexandra Palace in London, England to secure his place in tonight's head-to-head.
The 16-year-old will come up against the new world number one, Luke Humphries, who secured his spot with a pretty impressive 6-0 win against Scott Williams.
While the news of Littler's victory continues to sweep the internet, it seems as though some fans are uncovering other aspects of his life, which are also now becoming a hot topic of discussion amongst fans.
The latest revelation sees the five-year age gap between him and his new girlfriend, Eloise Milburn, exposed - a fact that has sat uncomfortably with social media users.
"Luke Littler’s girlfriend is 21!? I know he looks older than 16, but that feels a bit weird," wrote one user on Twitter, now known now as X.
"Luke Littler is brilliant but I just can’t get past his age... & the fact his girlfriend is 21. If it was the other way round.. oh, heads would spin," another added.

In the wake of all the drama, Milburn's mom has spoken out, defending her daughter against all the hate.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Amanda Milburn said: "There’s been a lot of horrible stuff being posted online about my daughter and my husband Phil and I are very angry about it. She’s not with him for any of these reasons. She doesn’t care about his money or his fame, she’s with him because she likes him. It’s as simple as that.
"It’s really hurtful when we read these comments, many of them from so-called darts fans. My daughter is none of these things that these vile people are making out. She’s a lovely young girl who is in a new relationship and people should allow them to get on with things."
She also added: "We are a darts family, we love playing this sport and are all very dedicated to it. It’s quite ironic that I met my husband through darts and Eloise might have met hers in the same way. It’s still early days for them and she’ll kill me if I bring up talk of marriage."
It was reported that the pair had met playing FIFA on Xbox and started dating. It has been six weeks since the pair have been romantically linked but the 21-year-old has been spotted supporting her new boyfriend at numerous games, even sharing an intimate moment with him after his victory yesterday.
