Over 260,000 people have signed a petition to block the distribution of a movie where Paris Jackson plays Jesus.
In the film Habit, Michael Jackson's daughter plays the son of God, having completed her role in the film prior to the Coronavirus-related lockdowns.
The film's producer Donovan Leitch previously told Fox News that Habit has been in post-production since April, with model and actress Bella Thorne also starring in the movie as a woman with a Jesus fetish who poses as a nun to escape a violent drug deal.

Leitch told Fox News that Jackson's Jesus "visits [Thorne's character] on a few different occasions."
Now, a petition has been created on Change.org with the aim of blocking the "blasphemous Hollywood film" because it portrays Jesus as a "lesbian woman", despite the fact that none of the film's promotional materials state that Jackson is playing Jesus as a lesbian.

Regardless, over 260,000 people have signed the petition, which directly names Warner Bros. and Lionsgate, to "wake people up to the Christianophobic garbage that is spread nowadays, but is somehow accepted and praised by society."
This isn't the only petition which has been created against the film either.
A group called One Million Moms has also tried to block Habit because it "mocks Christianity and ridicules people of faith", and it has garnered upwards of 70,000 signatures.
Habit has no release date yet, but it features musicians Josie Ho, Gavin Rossdale, Jamie Hince, and Alison Mosshart as well as model Andreja Pejic.
Until now, Paris has had a relatively limited career as an actress, with previous credits including several episodes of the series Star and the film Gringo. She also had a cameo in the 30 Seconds to Mars music video for the song 'Rescue Me'.
