A tour of Paris Hilton's home has left fans 'disgusted' after the footage, which was filmed in 2020, resurfaced recently.
Paris, 42, is no stranger to letting the cameras into every element of her life, but fans had a shock when they re-watched a home tour she filmed in 2020 while undergoing renovation on her property.
The 17-minute video was shared by the socialite and businesswoman on her YouTube channel, showcasing the before and after of a renovation that took 16 months to complete.
And while the results speak for themselves, there was one thing that left viewers pretty horrified.
Watch the entire video here:In the footage, Paris showed off how she'd transformed her home by making it "all brand new", however, her followers were divided over the extent of her "hoarding" and the amount of money she'd seemingly spent on the refit.
They were shown her kitchen cupboards and pantry packed full of things. as well as her garage being packed with clothing, bags, and crafting supplies.
She also showcased her impressive shoe collection a she revealed her newly rebuilt closet with 100 pairs of shoes on display, adding that while she wasn't planning to add more, "I have, like, literally 20 giant boxes full of shoes at my storage unit."
Paris also appeared to be pretty detached from the massive works that were being done on her property, adding that she hoped the workmen "build another" door after one had been ripped out that she wasn't aware of, and her apparent surprise at seeing that her kitchen had been gutted, saying: "This was not part of the plan. They were only supposed to do, like, a few rooms. So far, everything is gone."
The video was shared on Reddit's Anticonsumption thread, where fans expressed their thoughts on how many belongings Paris had kept, as well as her nonchalant attitude to her whole home renovation.
One wrote: "So she's a hoarder, but because she can afford the space it's not an illness?", while another responded: "Definitely looks like a hoarder and I hate how they portray it like 'wow so glamorous'. and you’re right bc she can afford it, it’s not an illness but people are going to want the lifestyle."
Someone else added: "i cant even fathom what 1 person needs that much space or stuff for...", while another wrote: "This is greed, folks. And it's disgusting."
One commented: "So she ditched the awful Saudi meets Trump aesthetic, but still lives excessively beyond anything anyone actually NEEDS. Wonder how many of those workers were just disgusted by the whole thing by the time it was done? For what that cost, she could have paid off 1000 peoples student loans, and STILL been able to renovate. Also why does so much of this look so cheaply done?"
Despite the renovation, some still weren't impressed by how much stuff she kept, adding: "This video makes me want to minimize and simplify my home even more. Even after organizing seemed overwhelming."
Others stood up for Paris, adding: "Let her have fun ! Leave your judgemental jealous voices for the shower!", and: "lol yall gen z woke and disgusting. Mad cause you can’t afford that?"
As well as being an heiress and great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, who founded Hilton Hotels, Paris also has several successful clothing and perfume lines under her belt, and also works as a DJ.
She also recently became a mother for the second time after welcoming a daughter via surrogate with her husband Carter Reum.
