The world is still waiting to discover who the 46th president of the United States will be.
Now, Rose McGowan, 47, has taken to social media to reveal that she broke her arm while watching the election results roll in.
Explained the cause of her injury alongside a picture of herself in hospital, McGowan wrote: "Reading US election results while on the stairs = bone break."

The 'Scream' actress revealed that she was being treated for the break not in Californa, but in Mexico, where the cost of hospital treatment is significantly lower.
"It cost $250 in Mexico for my emergency room visit, compared to a likely 10k hospital bill in California for the same accident," McGowan wrote.
"[The] USA is not the land of the free, it's the land of the overcharged. #bigpharma #usa #mexico OUCH".

McGowan's comments about the healthcare system will come as no surprise for those familiar with the actress, who has previously been vocal about her criticisms of politicians.
Last year, for example, she slammed the 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for her ties to "predators" such as Harvey Weinstein.
Taking to Twitter again on this occasion, McGowan wrote: "I knew that Hillary Clinton's people, were protecting the Monster," McGowan wrote, referring to Weinstein. "I can't believe I used to support her. I guess predators are her style."
This was accompanied by a Hollywood Reporter link that detailed Ronan Farrow's claims.

McGowan has also slammed the Democratic Party, saying that it and Biden have achieved "nothing" while also describing Trump as a "disease".
She wrote on Twitter: "What have the Democrats done to solve ANYTHING? Help the poor? No. Help black & brown people? No. Stop police brutality? No. Help single mothers? No. Help children? No. You have achieved nothing. NOTHING."

McGowan has repeatedly hit the headlines in recent years after she became one of the first women to speak out against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein with allegations of sexual assault - an action that inspired others to come forward about the film producer.
Earlier this year, Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years behind bars after he was found guilty of first-degree sexual act and third-degree rape.
