Sharon Stone's younger brother Patrick has passed away at the age of 57.

The tragedy was initially reported by TMZ, which said that Patrick passed early Sunday (February 12) morning in Pennsylvania. A rep for the coroner's office then disclosed that his death was being ruled as sudden cardiac death due to heart disease.

Patrick's wife, Tasha Stone, then confirmed that her husband tragically died by sharing an emotional statement that read: "My heart feels like it's been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River around 3:30 this morning," as cited by People.

"I don't know what else to say, he was my world," she continued. "He was the biggest pain in the ass with the biggest heart of anyone I know," she wrote, adding he was the dad of "beautiful children that he loved and adored".

"I knew the very first day that I saw him that I was going to marry him. I felt an immediate connection to him and for 20 years we drove each other absolutely crazy but we also loved each other so deeply. I feel lost without my best friend." she penned.

"My wish through all of this is that now at least River has his daddy with him and I hope the two of you are having the best time. Please give him the biggest hug and kiss from all of us and keep him out of mischief," Tasha concluded.

The 64-year-old Basic Instinct actress then took to Instagram to further confirm the family loss in a tearful video shared with her 3.6 million followers.

Stone mentioned that he was the father of River Stone, her almost one-year-old nephew who tragically died in August 2021 after he was found in his crib with "total organ failure".

"Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief, and we appreciate all of your condolences," she emotionally said, asking supporters to "continue to be kind" as she reflected on the "tremendous amount of loss" her family had experienced.

Two years ago, the Casino star announced that her nephew/godson had passed away with a heartbreaking video captioned: "River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 - Aug. 30, 2021," that featured footage of River with the song 'Tears in Heaven' by Eric Clapton in the background.

A month later, Stone spoke with People about how the family is dealing with the heartbreak and revealed that "nothing helped" them more than the organ donations sent by others.

"The fact that my godson was able to save three lives, two infants and a 45-year-old man was a sanctuary for our family," she shared at the time.

"I can only say that you never, never know when a tragedy will happen in your life or in your family, but this opportunity be an organ donor, it saved us, saved our family," she said. "Many people have many different thoughts about this, but in the end, it gave us some peace."

Patrick is survived by his wife and two children. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
