Julián Figueroa, a beloved Mexican singer, has sadly passed away at age 27 and his mother has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her son.
The 27-year-old was the son of the late singer Joan Sebastian who passed away in 2015, and his final social media post was a touching tribute to his father.
Writing on the social media site, Figueroa penned: "How slowly eight years have passed, since the day you left time tastes bitter. And people proclaim time has to fix everything, but it's a vile lie every day it hurts more and without fear of hurting susceptibilities... here they go."
He concluded: "To hell with the grammys with the fame and the money cause my only wish is to hold you... one more time."
Shortly after the post, Figueroa sadly passed away as confirmed by ANDI, the guild for performers in Mexico. "The National Association of Performers communicates the death of member Julián Figueroa," the guild tweeted, translated from Spanish to English.
Figueroa, who was set to turn 28 in May, is one of eight sons of his late father, with his brothers Trigo Figueroa and Juan Sebastián losing their lives in homicides in 2006 and 2010 respectively, per PEOPLE.
The singer's mother, actress Maribel Guardia, has since taken to Instagram to express her grief at the loss of her son.
"I'm sorry to have to report the departure of my beloved son Julián Figueroa," Guardia began. "He was found unresponsive in his room tonight while I was in the theater. They called 911 and when the ambulance and the police found him already lifeless, without any trace of violence."
The grieving mother explained that medical examinations have revealed the cause of death to be acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.
"I pray for understanding for the deep pain we are going through, I would like to talk to all the people who are trying to communicate, but I really don't have the strength to do so yet," Guardia continued.
The actress asked for privacy for her family at this time, before revealing that Figueroa's funeral will be a private affair.
Actress Marlene Favela offered her condolences: "I hug you with my soul and with my heart," she penned under Guardia's post.
Musician Belinda recalled: "I remember when we were on adventures in time and Juliancito came to the recordings, he was your greatest worship and your greatest treasure!!! I have a great heartache, I am with you unconditionally!"
Figueroa is survived by his wife Ime Garza and his six-year-old son José Julián.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans at this time.
