Who would have guessed that Snoop Doggy Dogg was a huge Game of Thrones fan?

The HBO series based on George R. R. Martin's dramatic fantasy story, set against the backdrop of the fictional land of Westeros, has been seen by millions of people around the globe. It chronicles the stories of nine noble families who are all vying for the coveted position of ruler of Westeros, and will stop at nothing to sit on the Iron Throne.

One of the most talked about characters on the show is the snow-haired Queen Daenerys Targaryen - played by the now-36-year-old Emilia Clarke - who is commonly referred to as Mother of Dragons due to the fact she manages to hatch a couple of dragon eggs at her husband's funeral during the first season.

Snoop, 51, proved himself to be one of Clarke's most loyal subjects after a meeting between the pair following his show at London's 02 Arena went viral on TikTok.

Check it out below:

In the viral clip - which was uploaded by the 'Gin and Juice' rapper's tour promoter Ian Vaughn and has since received 4.7 million views - Snoop can be heard telling Clarke: "You're an amazing actress, beautiful spirit, you're so believable," before adding: "I would protect your eggs any day," in reference to her character on Game of Thrones.

Clarke laughs and replies: "Can I get that in writing?"

The British actress later took to Instagram to upload a snap of the pair and another short video of their meeting, captioning the post with: "SNOOP. DOGGY. DOGG. [...] The man, the myth, the legend. When he calls, you (I) come running."

People couldn't help but joke around in the comments section, with one user writing: "Snoop Dogg, First of his name, Spokesman of the Rasta, Voyager of the 'Entergalactic Realm', Protector of The Mother of Dragon lol."

“Snoop is now Snoop Dragon. Queen's Protector," another comment read.

Others played around with some Game of Thrones names they could give Snoop, like "Rastafarian Targaryen".

Many netizens also took the chance to comment on Clarke's friendliness and sunny disposition, especially after the actress had been mercilessly trolled for her appearance in a recent Instagram upload. "Mum got me a mug. I felt it was important to share this new found wisdom. Use it and reap the rewards," Clarke captioned an image of herself holding a mug that read: "You're doing f**king great."

Cruel trolls wrote negative comments about her appearance, with one Twitter user writing: "Lmao wow Daenerys Targaryen didn't just hit the wall she flew into it full speed on a dragon."

While Clarke's fans stood up for her, the awful remarks brought to light the wider conversation on how society views women as they age.

Now that Snoop has volunteered to "protect" Clarke, I think those trolls will be running scared!
