Dak Prescott's ex-fiancée breaks silence on reason why they called off wedding - makes major accusation about him
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott's former fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, has broken her silence after the couple abruptly called off their wedding.
Over the weekend, TMZ Sports reported that the pair ended their engagement while attending their joint bachelor and bachelorette celebrations in the Bahamas, just a month before their planned destination wedding ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.
The sudden cancellation quickly sparked speculation online, with many fans questioning what could have led to the decision.
Ramos has now addressed one rumor directly, while separate reports claim the breakup may stem from much deeper issues.
Ramos Shuts Down Prenup Rumors
Ramos has publicly pushed back on claims that financial disagreements played a role in the wedding being called off.
She responded directly under an Instagram video from Speakeasy talk show co-hosts Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy, who were discussing prenuptial agreements and shared a screenshot of text claiming: "The rumor is that Dak spent the last few months pushing hard for a rock-solid prenup to protect his new bag, and she flat-out refused to sign it."
"This had nothing to do with a prenup," she commented under the clip. "I hope we can put that rumor to rest now."
The statement marked her first public response since news of the split surfaced.
Prescott has not yet issued a public comment about the breakup.
A representative for Ramos told PEOPLE that the couple are "both heartbroken that they’re not getting married."
Despite early reports suggesting tension between the pair, the rep said: "There wasn’t any rockiness in the lead up, and there was no big argument or blow up. It was a mutual decision."
Prescott and Ramos share two daughters: Margaret Jane Rose, two, and Aurora Rayne, nine-months.
"They love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way," the rep added. "It’s still shocking for them since this happened so recently, and they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”
Infidelity Accusations Emerge
While the wine specialist denied the prenup speculation, another report has pointed to alleged relationship issues behind the scenes.
According to Page Six reporter Bernie Zilio, Ramos believes Prescott had been unfaithful during their relationship and ultimately called off their nuptials due to his "ongoing infidelity issues".
Zilio reported that a source claimed Ramos believes the 32-year-old NFL star had a history of communicating with other women during their relationship, but that she stayed with him, hoping he would change for the sake of their family.
The report also states that the parents had a serious discussion about the issue earlier this year.
"Our source says Ramos and the Dallas Cowboys quarterback stayed behind after their friends left, at which point she found out that Prescott was allegedly using incognito social media profiles to send inappropriate messages to multiple women and ex-flings," the outlet reported.
The source added that the relationship is now over for good and that Ramos is focused on raising their children.
Wedding Cancellation Email Leaks
Prescott and Ramos were first linked in September 2023 and got engaged in October 2024. Their wedding was scheduled for April 10 in Lake Como, Italy, with 250 guests expected to attend.
After the ceremony was canceled, an email sent to guests was leaked online and shared by TMZ Sports.
"It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding," the email says. "We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this many cause you, and we welcome your prayers."
The message was signed: "Sarah Jane Ramos and Dak Prescott."
