Things got real strange at the BKFC 76 weigh-ins over the weekend, and fight fans still aren’t sure what to make of it.

During a fiery final face-off between UFC fighters Mariya Agapova and Jessica Eye, tensions were already high… but then Agapova took it to a whole new level.

In a moment no one saw coming, the Kazakh-born fighter leaned in and kissed Eye on the lips. Yep, you read that right.

The bizarre interaction went down at the ceremonial weigh-ins ahead of their bareknuckle bout on Saturday (June 21), and the gesture didn’t exactly land well with Eye.

The 38-year-old, who once challenged for the UFC’s flyweight belt, didn’t hold back. She immediately shoved Agapova and snapped: “That’s so weird. So f***ing weird,” MMA Fighting reported. And honestly? Most of the internet agreed.

Footage of the face-off and the unsolicited smooch went viral almost instantly, with fans flooding social media to weigh in.

“That was weird,” one person simply wrote underneath a clip posted to X, with another adding: “I guess Eye dealt with it well…. That’s just cringe, though.”

One fan joked: “It’s mad that these two were once in the UFC.”

Others branded the move "sexual harassment", with one X user calling on Eye to take legal action against her opponent. "Jessica Eye needs to consult with an attorney," another agreed.

Agapova, for her part, didn’t seem too fazed. When asked why she kissed her opponent, she gave a typically blunt answer: “She just came too close,” per MMA Mania.

But Eye wasn’t about to let it slide quietly. Taking to Instagram shortly after the face-off, she vented her frustration and threw down a warning.

“You disrespected a warrior,” she wrote. “Now you’re just the fuel for the fire that’s about to burn your name.”

This sudden burst of intensity might have something to do with the pressure both women are under heading into the fight. Neither Agapova nor Eye have had much success in recent outings, both are currently on six-fight losing streaks across various combat sports.

However, in the end, it was Eye who had the last word - and the last punch - with Yahoo reporting that she emerged victorious and scored 49-45, 50-44, and 49-45 in her favor.

From the kiss that lit the fuse to the final bell, this fight was chaos incarnate. But when the dust settled, it was Eye standing tall, bruised but unshaken.

“These bruises heal but the evil lives on,” she shouted to the crowd. “That’s what you guys came here for. Are you not entertained?”

Yeah, we were. And Eye made damn sure of it!
