T-Mobile is set to buy Mint Mobile - in which Ryan Reynolds holds a minority ownership stake - for $1.35 billion. And the actor will receive a large chunk of the money!

Reynolds, 46, is a celebrity and businessman who seems to be unanimously adored across the globe, especially as he has a hilarious relationship with his wife Blake Lively.

The actor is famous for his mostly comedic roles in blockbuster movies, but in recent years he has turned to business by being the face of Aviation Gin and purchasing Wrexham Association Football Club alongside fellow actor Rob McElhenney.

Now, as reported by multiple outlets including CNN, Reynolds is set to benefit greatly from T-Mobile's purchase of Mint Mobile.

While it remains unknown how much Reynolds is set to make out of the sale, Variety reports that it could be up to 25%, which would equal over $300 million.

In a statement released by T-Mobile, Reynolds said: "Mint Mobile is the best deal in wireless and today's news only enhances our ability to deliver for our customers."

In typical fashion, the 46-year-old couldn't resist throwing a joke in: "We are so happy T-Mobile beat out an aggressive last-minute bid from my mom Tammy Reynolds as we believe the excellence of their 5G network will provide a better strategic fit than my mom's slightly-above-average mahjong skills."

As per the statement, the total cost of the purchase will be 39% cash and 61% stock, and Reynolds is set to keep his creative role in the company.

Mint Mobile customers need not panic, as T-Mobile has vowed that they will not alter Mint's current cost plans which start at $15 per month for unlimited talk and text and up to 4 GB of data a month.

T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert said in a separate statement: "Mint has built an incredibly successful digital direct-to-consumer business that continues to deliver for customers on the Un-carrier’s leading 5G network and now we are excited to use our scale and owners’ economics to help supercharge it — and Ultra Mobile — into the future."

Reynolds will definitely be overjoyed at the amount of money coming his way, and this will add to the happiness he's currently experiencing after he welcomed a new member of his family last month.

This announcement came after Blake Lively was seen at the Super Bowl without her baby bump, leaving viewers to determine that another Reynolds had been welcomed to the world.

Reynolds previously spoke about his growing family in a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm very excited," he told the outlet. "We'd have to be. You know, you'd have to be a moron to do this four times if you didn't like it. It's gonna be nuts, but we're very excited."

It seems like everything is going well for Reynolds right now... Especially with the third Deadpool movie with Hugh Jackman right around the corner.
