The View erupted in chaos after Whoopi Goldberg decided to give Sunny Hostin a surprise lap dance mid-show.
On Monday’s (May 22) episode of the long-running ABC show, the hosts were debating whether a lap dance at a bachelor or bachelorette party is a form of cheating.
Amid discussions, the 54-year-old Senior Legal Correspondent revealed to the panel that she wasn’t even sure what a lap dance was, and professed that she has never seen one.
"I said during our 'Hot Topics' [segment] that lap dancing isn’t cheating, but come to think of it, I’ve never seen a lap dance," she confessed. "So maybe it is cheating!"
Watch the segment below:Hostin's co-stars were left stunned by her admission and began asking whether she had ever watched the 2019 movie Hustlers - featuring Jennifer Lopez - which follows the lives of New York City-based strippers.
Figuring that it would be easier to show rather than tell, the 67-year-old EGOT winner eventually asked Hostin: "Would you like to see?" When her co-host gave the ok, Goldberg got out of her seat and walked across the stage to demonstrate.
The audience began to cheer in excitement once the Sister Act actress stood up and even Sara Haines' mouth fell wide open. When Ana Navarro tried to make room for Goldberg's impromptu dance, she jokingly snapped: "My behind's not that big."
"First I start, I'm looking at you," the Color Purple star stated while gazing seductively into Hostin's eyes. She then began to move her backside onto her co-host's lap, moving up and down, and side to side while the thrilled studio audience watched.
"And then I start to turn, and then it's all like this, and it's like that," she continued to demonstrate while shaking her behind in Hostin's face. Her panelist was clearly enjoying the moment as she threw her head back and laughed.
"And then it's me going down all down here. Then I go back on the side," Goldberg concluded, to which Navarro said: "And, wearing a lot less clothes!"
Upon seeing the clip, many users took to the comment section to share their reactions to the hilarious moment. One user said: "This was a fun segment. Whoopi gave Sunny that lap dance. Sunny didn't know what to do."
Another wrote: "Whoopie's lap dance is everything!", while a third commented: "This was probably the best moment of View history."
After the demonstration ended, Hostin concluded that having a lap dance at a bachelor or bachelorette party is "cheating," repeating it numerous times. However, the Corrina actress said she doesn't know if it's cheating, but Hostin interjected that it "might qualify".
"I take it cheating would be some form of hooking up," Haines declared, while Navarro responded: "I think it requires an exchange of bodily fluids.'"
But Goldberg disagreed, explaining: "It's mind stuff that makes the cheat, I think. When people start cheating like on the internet with someone that they're sharing emotional stuff - to me, that's cheating."
Clearly, everyone has different opinions on this hot topic.
