Whilst interviewing Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet at yesterday's SAG Awards, Laverne Cox did not hold back in asking what fans really want to know.

The pair were gracing the red carpet just moments before Smith won best performance by a male actor in a leading role for his role as Richard Williams in King Richard.

It was then when Orange Is The New Black actress Laverne Cox spoke to the couple about Jada's infamous "entanglement" with rapper August Alsina.

"Thank you for all the years of joy you've brought us, thank you, we can't wait for more 'Red Table Talk' and more entanglements," Cox said to the couple on the red carpet.

"No more of those," Pinkett Smith replied as both she and Smith laughed. "No more entanglements, no more entanglements," Cox said.

The pair have been making headlines for months about their surprising revelations, whether it be their secret romances, past experiences, or unknown facts about their marriage.

Last year, the couple's union raised eyebrows after rapper August Alsina claimed that he had engaged in a relationship with Jada with Will's permission.

Jada initially denied the claims, but when she and Will took part in an interview for her web show Red Table Talk, she said that an "entanglement" had occurred.

When news of Jada's "entanglement" with Alsina came to light last year, she explained what had occurred in her own words.

Touching on her brief split from Will, she said at the time: "We decided we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I will go figure out how to make myself happy."

"From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August," she added.

For his own part, Will has said that it is a "miracle" that he is still speaking to his wife after her affair.

Discussing his wife’s affair with Alsina, 51-year-old Will said last year: "I wasn't sure I was ever going to speak to you again. The fact that I’m speaking to you again is a miracle.

"[Marriage] ain’t for the weak at heart. There's just certain things that you have to go through… I sure wish it could be all magic and miracles."

Watch Will and Jada open up about her 'entanglement' with August Alsina:

Revealing further details of the relationship with Alsina, Jada described her connection with Alsina as a "different kind of entanglement" to what she had experienced with her husband.

Will, reflecting on the state of their marriage at that time, declared: "I was done with your a**. I was done with you," before adding: "Marriages have that though. We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I’ll try to figure out how to make myself happy. I really felt like we could be over."

The pair tied the knot in 1997, and have two children, son Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 20. Will also has son Trey, 28, from a previous marriage to Sheree Zampino.
