You are probably familiar with Courtney Stodden's rise to prominence. The 23-year-old's ascent into stardom was anything but quiet, with tabloid headlines proclaiming "16-year-old girl marries 51-year-old actor". Certainly, Stodden seemed to be enjoying playing along with the role she was given.
The reality television star, however, has sadly had a very public breakdown on social media following her separation from her husband, Doug Hutchinson - and it has made her fans increasingly concerned for her well-being.

After becoming famous back in 2011 for marrying a 50-year-old actor at the tender age of 16, Courtney Stodden has documented her charmed life on social media. This habit, however, became concerning at the end of November when the model and reality television star posted a tearful photograph of herself, with the caption "devastated".

In an ensuing post, Courtney wrote "I need this man back in my life. I need him to come help me. I need him to want our marriage to work. He’s been my only solid rock. Doug, if you read this — this is a public cry for your undying love. I need you."
She followed this up with an impassioned Instagram video, where she candidly spoke about her estrangement from her husband of five years:
"Obviously I’ve been crying again – again – and I just want to be honest with you guys about some things.
Me and my husband have been going through a really rough time, separation and ultimately divorce in a week. And I like, at the last minute, realised that I don’t want it and i want to try and make things work. Ever since we’ve separated and he’s moved away I’ve been depressed and he’s, I don’t’ deserve him and I need him back in my life. Help me and be with me and I love him."

Things took a turn for the worse, however, when Courtney posted another video of her repeatedly singing the words "I wanna die".

Fans took to Twitter to voice their concern for the former Big Brother contestant. One social media user wrote, "This breaks my heart. Sometimes things have to fall apart for them to come back stronger. Whether that’s you and Doug or just you coming back stronger please hang on. You’re almost there."

In March 2016, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. But, tragically, Courtney suffered a miscarriage three months into her pregnancy.
The model also wanted to make it clear that she wasn't being "attention seeking" with her recent behavior. In another video that was posted on Twitter this time, Courtney said "I’m not going to delete this stuff, because this is real. I think people should see the real side of shit on social media."
We wish Courtney luck with the painful task of processing her divorce, and hope that she seeks the help that she needs.
