Jen Selter was outraged by the treatment she suffered on a recent flight, posting footage she filmed of the incident on Twitter in her anger. She was on a delayed flight from Miami to New York on January 27 when she got into an argument on an
flight, which resulted in the 24-year-old being removed from the plane.

Selter, who has 11 million followers on Instagram, claimed that the plane had been stationary for over two hours when the commotion started. After sitting around waiting for so long, she decided to stand up to stretch and put her jacket away. It was at this point that a flight attendant noticed her standing and told her to sit down, which sparked the argument.

Soon into the argument, five officers arrived on the plane, following a call made by the attendant, with Selter and her sister being removed from the plane. "The crew is asking for you guys to be removed off the plane," one officer says in the video. "American Airlines calls the shots. They don’t want you to fly on their plane today."

Selter spoke about the experience with Page Six, where she said:
"It was humiliating. They made me feel like a terrible person, and I did nothing wrong. The plane wasn’t taking off. I told him to relax. But he had something against me. He was so nasty.
"All of a sudden five cops came up. I was literally getting attacked. I will never ever fly American Airlines again.
"I’ve seen cops come onto flights. But they shouldn’t kick people off unless something is actually dangerous.There was so much bickering on the plane. Everyone just wanted to get the hell to New York."
Some other passengers also found themselves leaving the plane. One woman who was sat in front of her was removed for arguing with the flight attendant over a separate issue, according to Selter.
Another passenger was included in one of the model's Twitter videos after she got off the plane in protest over how they were being treated.

In a statement, a spokesperson for American Airlines said:
"Ms. Selter was asked to leave the aircraft after a disagreement occurred Saturday night at Miami International Airport (MIA).
American offered her hotel accommodations and transportation, which she declined. She flew on American Sunday morning back to New York (LGA) – arriving around 8:30 a.m. ET yesterday morning."
This didn't go down well with Selter at all, who replied to their comments on Twitter with dismay and frustration. "AND correction American Airlines your employees working that night did NOT offer ANY accommodation," she wrote. "They specifically said if you get taken off, they are not responsible anymore and that we can sleep in the airport."

While the inciting incident is unclear as it was not captured on video, it seems pretty harsh if Jen is to be believed - especially since some of the other people on the flight seem to be on her side. It seems like this kind of inconvenience can happen even to celebrities, like the time
