Since the Eagles' amazing victory at the Super Bowl this weekend, stories about victory celebrations and reactions to the halftime show have been filling up newspapers and flooding our social media feeds.
Justin Timberlake was the topic of a lot of conversation, first for his interaction with
the awkward selfie kid, and then for his somewhat
controversial choice to perform a tribute to Prince during his halftime performance. Other celebrities who managed to steal themselves a few seconds in the limelight were Kevin Hart, for his drunken escapades on live TV, P!nk, for her amazing performance of the national anthem, and Tom Brady, for not taking the news of his defeat all that well.
However, while all that was going on, this one story about
Jennifer Lawrence commandeering a PA system while on a flight from New Orleans to Los Angeles seems to have got buried.
At some point during the flight, the Hunger Games actress got up from her seat and made her way to the announcement system on board a Delta flight this Sunday. Whether or not the flight attendants knew exactly what she was doing is unclear, but video footage showed her fumbling with the phone before addressing the entire plane.
"Everybody, this is not the pilot speaking," she said. "This is Jennifer Lawrence. It’s February 4th, Super Bowl Sunday, and we all know what that means. Can I please get a ‘Fly, Eagles, fly’? Fly, Eagles fly! Fly eagles fly!"
She then proceeded to make a reference to the film Bridesmaids, quoting the line: "There's a colonial woman on the plane, she's wearing..." Unfortunately, she gets cut off by a steward who thinks she's had a bit too much fun with the PA system (or perhaps she was a Patriots fan, who knows).
It has not actually been confirmed whether or not Lawrence is a fully-fledged supporter of the Eagles, and some have suggested that she was just channeling her character from the Silver Linings Playbook, in which she plays a dancer who forms a close relationship with an Eagles fan.
Either way, she appears to be genuinely enthusiastic in this video clip of the incident:

Of course, this isn't the first time the 27-year-old actress has made the press for her quirky antics.
At the Golden Globes last month, Lawrence's absence from the afterparties was noted, but nobody really knew where she had got to. Later on, however, it transpired that she'd spent the whole evening
just hanging out with her best pal, Emma Stone.
The pair posted a video on social media of Lawrence with half her face covered in makeup, which she explains was all Stone's fault.
"You [Emma Stone] told me that you wanted me to be your date to the after parties so I got us tickets to some after parties," she said. "I booked a car and I was halfway through glam when you told me that you didn't want to go and you just wanted to come over to my house. So I sent my hair and make-up team home and now this is what I look like."
Well, it certainly looks like JLaw knows how to have a good time, be it on an airplane, a private party after an awards ceremony, or even
at a protest for women's rights. Congratulations again to the Eagles for their momentous win this weekend - and we hope Lawrence had a great time celebrating!
