A mom has gone viral on social media after getting a little too competitive during a school sports day event.
Per the New York Post, 25-year-old mom Katie McDermott was taking part in a parent event during her daughter's school sports day in Coventry, England.
However, despite the fact that school sports days are supposed to be all about the fun and all about the kids, McDermott clearly got caught up in the moment when she took part in a race against other parents and their children.
In the now-viral video shared to Facebook, the race appears to be going just fine, with everybody having fun and staying in their lanes. But as McDermott realizes she's about to have victory snatched away from her, she takes matters into her own hands and shoves another mom, Chelsey Walford, down to the ground.
Check out the ruthless moment below:McDermott shared the video on July 13, along with the caption: "Tell me I ain't a competitive parent."
Writing in the post's comments section, McDermott said that she "had to win", but her knee-length dress was "restricting" her movement - hence to underhanded tactics. But hey, a win's a win!
Many of the commenters found the footage hilarious, with one person writing: "That's totally unfair but bloody brilliant."
But how was Walford after taking the tumble? Well, there are clearly no hard feelings, as Katie shared a picture showing Walford's leg with a cool pack around her knee:
"She's fine guys," Katie joked, followed by laughing emojis.
It's certainly been a summer of sports day moments, as another mom went viral last month after taking a tumble during the parent race at her kid's school.
Check it out below:Taking to Facebook to share her unfortunate incident, 36-year-old mom Katie Hannaford revealed what happened when she decided to take part in her daughter's school sports day.
As she darts from the starting line, Hannaford unfortunately loses her footing and takes a face-first tumble to the ground. What's even more unfortunate is that her blue dress then flips over her body, revealing her bum and undies to the watching crowd of fellow parents, students, and teachers.
However, she certainly saw the funny side, posting the video to Facebook with the caption: "When the kids got more at sports day than they were expecting! Haha!"
Just remind me never to take part in any of my kids' school sports days - you never know what could happen!
