A man has opened up about how his father canceled a meeting at the World Trade Center on 9/11 due to the fact he was being born on the wrong day.
TikToker Mark Bowling opened up about his self-confessed "craziest one-in-a-million story" by explaining that his dad always wanted a son and "kept trying and just couldn't give up".
He explained that prior to his birth, his parents had three baby girls, which made it a particularly exciting event.
While Mark wasn't born on his due date, and he doesn't know whether he was early or late, he made his way into the world on the fateful day of September 11, 2001.
On this day, his dad had been scheduled to have a security meeting on the "101st floor of tower one of the Twin Towers."
Needless to say, Mark's dad canceled work that day, not realizing that the birth of his long-awaited son had also likely saved his life.
Had Mark been born on any other day, his dad would have been at the top of the tower when it was struck.
While 9/11 was a day of celebration for Mark's family, for the rest of America, it was one of the most tragic in recent history, and there's no doubt that it would have been particularly poignant for his dad, who narrowly avoided an unthinkable situation.
Needless to say, Mark's story did not go unnoticed, and at the time of writing, it has been liked more than 4.1 million times and received tens of thousands of comments.
One TikTok user wrote: "You saved your dads [sic] life by existing."
A second joked: "i brought you into this world" "ok but i kept you in it" [sic]
A third similarly quipped: "I'm the only reason you're alive. YOU DO THE DISHES."
A fourth wrote: "I can't believe you saved your dads [sic] life by existing. The universe was really there for him to see his dream."
Meanwhile, a fifth wrote: "THATS [sic] A ONE IN A TRILLION STORY."
So, what's your "craziest one-in-a-million story"?
