As reported by TMZ, a delivery driver has been caught on a security doorbell camera deliberately spitting into his hand and smearing it over a customer's Amazon package.
The disgusting moment reportedly occurred on Thursday evening at a duplex residence in Los Angeles' Hancock Park neighborhood.
You can see the absolutely disgusting moment in the video below:In the video, the delivery guy can be seen placing the package down on the customer's porch, before leaning over and smearing his spit-covered hand over the parcel, as more saliva can be seen dripping from his mouth.
The representative reportedly expressed their horror at the incident, and was shocked to find that the action was carried out by an older worker. The representative also confirmed the delivery driver was from a third party service, and despite being reported, said it was possible he could be back still be making deliveries today.
The clip was later shared to Twitter by a user named Marcus Martinez, who claims to be the recipient of the package. Martinez accompanied the video with the warning:
"WARNING - amazon delivery person spread spit willingly on our package today! Please share!!!!!! I am trying to contact amazon ASAP so please tag amazon if you share this!! I received the box and saw a big wet spot and then checked the camera!"
When TMZ we reached out to the online retailer regarding the video, an Amazon spokesperson said, "We have high standards for delivery service partners and expect every package to be handled with care. We've notified the right teams internally and will work with the customer directly on matters related to their package delivery."
