A delivery driver has left a note for a customer who didn't tip to explain that he doesn't work "for free".
The DoorDash employee took to TikTok on Tuesday, August 9, to reveal his reaction to a customer who didn't tip as he spread a message to others who expect delivery drivers to bring them food "for free", Insider reports.
In the video, the driver, who goes by the handle @frenchfrythug, shared a video of himself dropping off a customer's food alongside a note that read: "If you can't afford to tip then you should go pick it up yourself.
"Who do you think you are to order food and have someone come and bring it to your door for FREE? FOR FREE?"
Watch the TikTok below:Needless to say, the video did not go unnoticed as it's been liked over 32.9K times, at the time of writing.
Reacting to the video, one TikTok user wrote: "I haven't tipped since tik tok corrupted my brain. Too many drivers thinking they deserve the world. Your job pays yu to deliver the food [sic]."

A second added: "Ummmmm I tip but this video is wrong. For one you are paid it's your job. Tip is optional for a reason. And I tip larger at the door based on service [sic]."

A third wrote: "Free? She paid for that service and you were paid to take it so therefore it's not free ookkkaaayyy."

While a fourth added: "I work for uber eats and would never ever do this I hope [DoorDash] sees this and fires you so unprofessional [sic]."

However, while many TikTok users were against this driver's actions, there were some people who did support him.
One wrote: "These comments. [He's] just trying to teach her some mannters! I fully support this."

A second agreed, writing: "I'm sorry but I'm a Dasher and I'm so so tired of people not tipping if you cannot afford a tip you should not use the service [sic]."

Insider reports that the driver told them the customer featured was a "habitual no tipper", and he decided to make the controversial video to "make a statement."
