A 27-year-old Disney fan has hit back at trolls after they cruelly mocked her for getting excited to see Goofy at Disney World.

On May 3, TikToker Sarah Rachul uploaded a video from her recent trip to Orlando, Florida, to her account, where she goes by the handle @everydayisdisney.

In the clip, Rachul can be seen waiting in line to meet Goofy at the Epcot theme park. She's clearly excited, as she jumps up and down and clasps her hands to her chest, before running into the Disney character's arms.

The overlay text says that she's "waited 3 years to hug" Goofy, and there's even more detail as to why he means so much to her in the post's caption.

Check out Rachul's video below:

"It might sound silly but my papa’s favorite character was Goofy and when I hug Goofy it’s like hugging my papa again," Rachul wrote, adding: "Thank you so much @disneyparks for making real magic for me today."

Despite the touching backstory, many TikTokers still criticized Rachul for getting so excited about meeting a character.

"Some of y'all grown people need to remember there's another adult in the costume," one commented, while another moaned: "Aaaand this is why Disney is absolutely unbearable to visit."

In an interview with The New York Post, Rachul has since hit back at her haters, saying that their rude words didn't get to her - but that they made her worry about how cyberbullying would affect the future generation.

"I dug into some of these video duets/stitches and comments and lot of the people behind the account are in middle school/high school/college. These are really formative years for learning how to treat others and I’m concerned for how brazen people have become online when criticizing strangers," she said.

Elsewhere in the interview, she explained that she and her parents had started visiting the park every year in honor of her late grandparents, who were Disney Vacation Club members.

She added that she too had been surprised by her emotional reaction to Goofy, saying: "The tears came out of nowhere."

"All the cast members there were wonderful too and Goofy gave me a long hug and a lot of special interaction because he could see it meant a lot to me," she said.

Why anybody would actually troll a person for doing something completely harmless is beyond me. Sarah, you keep doing you!
