Takeaway pizza must be one of the most universally loved foods out there.
It's always there for you - in your moments of joy and sadness. Takeaway pizza is equally suitable for a day of sitting on the couch watching football with your mates, or for commiserating and feeling sorry for yourself after a particularly painful breakup.
It's there for you at birthday parties, wedding receptions and during long nights in your student room trying to write an essay that's due in at 9am the following morning.
Watch the heartwarming moment this boy hugs a pizza delivery man who lost his teenage daughter:What I'm trying to say, is that takeaway pizza is a truly wonderful thing.
However, if like me you're something of a takeout aficionado, you'll be familiar with the age-old debate as to what the little plastic 'stool' that comes with many takeout pizzas is actually for.
According to Wikipedia, which calls them Pizza Savers, the little plastic device serves the purpose of preventing the top of a pizza box from caving onto the pizza during delivery.
However, one TikToker has claimed that the Pizza Saver has another use entirely, and the internet is well and truly divided on the issue.
TikToker @sebweb67 captioned his now-viral video, "How old were you when you realised this little that comes with your pizza is actually there to stop you touching other slices?"
The video has been viewed more than 800,000 times since it was posted with many people weighing in on the debate.
"Secondary use - originally for the lid" one TikTok user commented.

"[Incorrect] it's to keep the box from touching the pizza and for little girls barbie houses as a table [sic]" another commenter chimed in.

"[Thought] it was a mini table THIS ENTIRE TIME" a third TikTok user added.

Another impressed commenter simply wrote, "mind blown".

"Today old... TODAY! Always thought it was a Barbie table." Wrote another commenter.

So what do you think? Do you believe Wikipedia and the many people who state that it's to stop the box lid from touching the pizza, or the TikToker who says it's to help you pick up slices without touching another slice? Personally, I don't know what to think anymore...
