It's getting ever closer to that festive time of year and Aldi has decided to mark the occasion by launching a bunch of themed advent calendars, including a cheese calendar and a wine calendar!

Because why should those of us who enjoy the finer things in life have to miss out when it comes to the Christmas countdown?

And it turns out that the budget supermarket's range of advent calendars is even more experimental than we thought.

Take a look at this fascinating Aldi training video:

Yep, their latest version, although technically not an advent calendar, contains six days worth of beauty products.

In contrast with the more traditional festive calendars, this one starts at Boxing Day (26th December) and counts down to New Year's Eve (31st December).

Not wanting to overwhelm buyers with 24 days worth of unnecessary products, the supermarket is offering six Lacura skincare and fragrance products.

The items include a Healthy Glow Retinol Toner, Golden Glow Mask, Lacura Pink Clay Cleanser, Gentle Facial Moisturiser, Healthy Glow Rose Oil, and Luxury Bitter Orange Eau de Toilette.

Let's face it, while Christmas is a lot of people's favourite time of year, it can also be pretty stressful and draining, what with all the cooking, Christmas shopping and decorating.

But with this calendar, starting from December 26th, you can pamper yourself to your heart's content - like the deserving king or queen you are.

"It is the first-ever Countdown to NY Advent Calendar which runs from boxing day until New Year’s Eve so you can give it as a gift and that person gets a little treat every day up until NY," Aldi states, per The Sun. "The only challenge with this advent calendar will be trying not to rip open every door on Boxing Day!"

The calendar costs £14.99 and will be available to buy from November 21 in-store and online.
