A North Carolina man who claims to have the world's smallest penis has revealed the results of a recent enlargement procedure, saying the treatment has already made a noticeable difference.
Michael Phillips, 38, underwent the procedure in North Carolina earlier this week after raising thousands of dollars online to fund the treatment.
Phillips told TMZ that doctors injected his 0.38-inch penis with a semi-permanent dermal filler during a procedure that lasted around three hours. The size falls within the medical definition of a micropenis.
Doctors reportedly administered the filler through a series of injections around the area, but Phillips will have to wait for the swelling to disappear before he can see the full results.
Despite that, he has described the procedure as a success.
Phillips claims his penis now remains extended rather than retracting, which he said was one of the problems he experienced previously.
He also said he can now urinate freely, something he described as a major benefit of the procedure.
The treatment was funded through a GoFundMe campaign, with Phillips raising around $4,000 towards the operation.
Phillips hopes the results will last, but he is already planning to return to his doctors in around six months for additional “booster” injections.
Those treatments could either increase the size further or help maintain the effects if the filler begins to break down sooner than expected.
If the procedure provides the level of enhancement Phillips is hoping for, he may no longer hold his self-proclaimed title of having the world's smallest penis.
For Phillips, however, losing that distinction would be a small price to pay after years of struggling with his condition.
He has previously spoken about the impact his size had on his everyday life, including difficulties with urination.
“I’ve wanted to do this (procedure) for the longest [time] because everyone knows how horrible being so small can be,” Phillips wrote on social media after announcing his plans for the treatment.
