It's a sad fact that, no matter how gorgeous you are, there will always be people out there who want to tear you down to make themselves feel better. Even models, who regularly end up on the covers of magazines, have to endure this kind of treatment.
One model who has a facial birthmark has also been encouraging others to embrace their natural beauty:

But now, a model who was trolled online because of her unibrow has hit back against her haters, and ditched tweezers, razors, and waxing to embrace her natural looks.
Meet Haylee Michalski, a 22-year-old model who hails from Charleston in North Carolina, who has found great success in the industry since moving to New York in 2019.

Haylee says that she once constantly plucked her eyebrows, trying to fight a losing battle against her own facial hair, in a fruitless attempt to live up to impossible modern beauty standards.
But when she moved to NYC, she finally overcame her fear of judgment, and let it grow out. Although her parents weren't so convinced about her doing so, and said that it could have a negative impact on her career, her sister was behind her all the way.

Haylee says that some people in the modeling industry love it, while others don't react quite so well. But Haylee is much happier being herself.
Her unibrow hasn't affected her love life either, and Haylee says that her girlfriend is extremely supportive of her unibrow and everything that it stands for. However, she does receive cruel comments from men who advise her to shave it. Haylee says that much of the negative commentary she receives on her look come from trolls on her social media pages.

Haylee has now set up an Instagram page, called '@unibrowpride', which she hopes will encourage others to embrace their natural looks and ignore naysayers. Check it out: it might inspire you to embrace something about yourself you've always been insecure about.
