A healthcare worker from the UK has taken to social media to slam the "idiot" who left a note on her car criticizing her for traveling amid the country's coronavirus lockdown.

Sam Halms, who works as a key worker for the Norfolk & Suffolk Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, is permitted to drive to work as it falls in line with essential travel.
However, the neighbor who wrote the note - whose name is still unknown - addressed Halms as "the selfish person".
They continued: "I have been watching you travel every day in your car. You are not in uniform, so this is clearly unessential travel! You are part of the problem! Stay at home and protect our country + NHS! You have been REPORTED"

Halms was understandably furious to receive the rude note accusing her of breaking nationwide lockdown guidelines without a shred of evidence.
Taking to Facebook, she wrote, "I don’t usually post much personal stuff on social media but I’m hoping that sharing this on here will reach the idiot that left me this note on my car!"

The healthcare worker then pointed out five things she wanted to let the intrusive individual know:
"1: I WORK FOR THE NHS!
2: I go to work everyday SUPPORTING our country and have done for many years, while you are clearly spending your days watching me, probably claiming that your employed as a ‘full time mummy’.
3: Why didn’t you just approach me and ask me what I was doing, maybe then you would understand why I am getting up EVERYDAY to work for the NHS!?
4: Why on earth would I wear my uniform to and from work at this current time. Equally not all NHS staff have to wear uniform - food for thought!
5: If this has reached you, hopefully now you feel like a complete FOOL and that you should think twice before sticking your nose into other people’s business!"
The now-viral post has since garnered 32k reactions, 26k shares and 14k comments, with one fellow healthcare worker sharing: "I work on the frontline in Icu, I travel to work in my own clothes and change into scrubs at work. What an idiot!!"
Another said: "well put Sam and Thank you xx my son and daughter in law are doctors and would not be going to work or returning in scrubs xxx risking their lives for us xx plus we have 700,000 amazing volunteers supporting the NHS risking their lives for free xxx keep safe ignore ignorance and keep strong xxx"
A third wrote: "NHS front line staff shouldn't travel to work in their uniform and have been advised not to in the current crisis. Irrespective of that there will always be small minded folk who use nasty means to spread their spew. Don't give them oxygen by posting as it feeds their spiteful bile."
VT would like to take this moment to thank Sam and all the other medical staff and key workers who are helping to keep the world turning during these uncertain times...
