An Australian Instagram model who has spent $25,000 on tattoos - including getting her eyeballs inked - has stunned her followers by revealing what she looking like before her passion for body modifications kicked off.

Check out Amber talk about her body modifications below:

Amber Luke - a 24-year-old model and social media star from New South Wales' Central Coast in Australia - recently held a Q&A with her 80,000 Instagram fans.

Unsurprisingly, one follower asked to see what Luke - who also goes by the social media handle Blue Eyes White Dragon -  looked like before going under the tattoo needle.

And Amber was happy to oblige, sharing a picture of herself with no tattoos, blonde hair, and wearing a floor-length blue ball gown.

Amber was diagnosed with depression at 14 and says she uses body modification as a way to cope and feel more like herself. She told Daily Mail last year:

"Back when I was 14, I didn't know who I was or what I wanted from life. I was catatonic and couldn't see what was best for me. I was naive. But I now have a backbone and I can stand up for what I believe in. I also have the confidence to look however I want too."

But Luke's dedication to her love of body art has come with some negatives, revealing that she was left blind for three weeks after getting her eyeballs inked.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Australia, the 24-year-old described the procedure as "very intense and very painful", detailing that her eyes were held open as a syringe was injected into each eye four times.

In a subsequent interview the Mail last year, Amber said her extreme look is often met with mixed responses from people in the street. She said:

"I gained a lot of support and positive vibes from complete strangers - there was always the few nasty opinionated ones who try to make you feel inadequate, but I never let them get to me."

And addressing the negative comments she receives, Luke added: "If you're reading this and you have nothing nice to say? Don't say it at all. You never know what a person's going through in their personal lives, be kind.

"I'm not harming anyone in the process, I'm doing what I want to do and if it makes me get up in the morning and be a happy person, then so be it."
