A boat exploded into flames after a group on the vessel shouted homophobic slurs at the people who ended up saving them.

The aggressors confronted the LGBTQ+ boat on Moses Lake in Washington State totally unprovoked.

One of the people on the boat, who were celebrating Pride, claimed in a video that the boaters had started harassing and circling them when they saw their pride flags.

Soon enough, though, karma struck - and the boat belonging to the bullies bursts into flames.

Check out the moment the boat explodes below:

One of the rescuers explained on Twitter: "These people harassed my family because we were flying gay pride flags in Moses Lake Washington, by racing around us and shouting gay slurs. Then, their boat literally blew up!"

The Twitter user went on to say: "And just ONE more tidbit to really drive the karma in there. The driver literally s*** his pants and everyone saw when his shorts fell off in the water."

Speaking to BuzzFeed News, Robbie - the individual who posted the video online - recalled how a woman from the other boat began swearing at them, and "then the boat quickly made a sharp turn back towards us and went around us."

He explained: "I then again personally heard someone shout what I thought to be the word ‘gays’ so I asked my brother to pull out his phone and blatantly start recording in hopes that it would avoid conflict if they noticed."

The bullies then proceeded to circle the nearby boat about six times before the instigators "attempted to speed away."

Robbie went on: "After a moment, we heard a loud backfire and a sputter come from the boat. Though I could not see the boat, in the direction, I could see a cloud of black smoke rising quickly.

"The driver, possibly embarrassed, then rushed to start the vehicle again... Another few moments pass and we hear an incredibly loud explosion come from the direction they were headed. Our driver shouted, ‘Holy crap! They blew up!’"

In another video, the aggressors whose boat had just exploded swim over to the other boat and are asked if they are OK, to which they respond: "No, we're burning."

What's more, the rescuers note in the video that they did not once express their gratitude to those that saved them.

After the incident, Grant County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement: "As of right now, we are trying to make contact with the occupants of the vessel being circled so we can interview them to find out what happened."

He added: "We would like to know more, and once we can interview people, we will be able to know more without relying solely on a brief video."

Sheriff Tom Jones told BuzzFeed News that it is not known what exactly caused the fire. He also added that the owner of the boat and a passenger had been burned but chose not to seek treatment.
