A couple is planning to re-marry three years after their first wedding as one of the spouses has since come out as a trans woman.
Rayna and Jae Harvey of Somerset, UK, tied the knot in 2018, over a decade after they first met on MySpace back in 2007, The Mirror reports.
It was on their honeymoon that 33-year-old Rayna, who had identified as a man up until that point, was finally able to confide in her new wife that she had been concealing who she really was.
After decades of living inauthentically, Rayna felt free to be herself and fortunately was met with nothing but acceptance and understanding from Jae.
So, three years on, the loved-up pair plan to say "I do" once more in September, this time with both of them fully comfortable in their own skin.
Jae said per The Mirror, that she felt that Rayna was essentially absent during their first wedding. On paper, she had married a man named Jake, with Rayna suppressed deep down inside.
The Texas native also said the upcoming nuptials would give Rayna a second chance to have her family see her walk down the aisle as they were unable to attend the wedding in the States the first time around.
Jae added that this time around, both brides would be wearing black dresses as part of their black and white theme. The theme will also include white, pink, and red roses which she says will symbolize both the demise of the previous Rayna and her re-birth.
Some years after the doting brides met on MySpace in 2007, they re-connected on MSN. A short while after that, Rayna jetted off to Dallas, Texas to meet her eventual spouse for the first time.
They had lost touch for a number of years but in October 2017, their spark was reignited once more as Jae headed for the UK to meet Rayna again.
It was during this trip that Rayna proposed to Jae - in fact, she had done so right at the end of the trip.
They got married during a small ceremony of just 30 guests in March 2018. It was two months later during their honeymoon that Rayna came clean about her genuine identity - and she hasn't looked back since.
