The coronavirus quarantine has given most of us more time on our hands as we stay at home to save lives, and one man who has decided to make his quarantine very productive is Australian builder Murray Berrill, owner of Murray Berrill Constructions, who made an incredible easy-access wine caller hidden in a staircase. He captioned his creation on Facebook: "Ok, here's one for the wine lovers. What to do with dead space under the stairs? Create an easy access wine cellar. Proud of this one." [[facebookwidget||https://www.facebook.com/mubercon/posts/1827182994084668?__tn__=-R]] In an interview with <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-8215693/Builder-transforms-staircase-WINE-CELLAR.html?ito=social-facebook">FEMAIL</a>, Murray said: "I hate dead space when renovating a house, as you're essentially paying for nothing. So we thought of putting the wine in drawers in the staircase rather than behind it." The cellar took just a week and a half to make and can hold 156 bottles of wine. Perfect if you're a collector of the finest! "We had to work out how all the bottles were going to fit and make sure the entire design was strong enough." Per the Daily Mail, the wine cellar is estimated to have cost $5,000 to make. The cellar even has its own built-in thermometer to ensure that the wine is kept at the right temperature at all times, and Murray said that he was considering adding in a unit to keep bottles chilled too.
