A man has come out and defended his romantic relationship with a woman 37 years his senior, as he claims that she makes him "feel alive".

Love is something that most of us strive for in life, and sometimes it can come from the most unlikely of places and appear unexpectedly.

One thing that often raises eyebrows, however, is when couples have a large age gap between them, and one couple on TikTok has been forced to defend their 37-year difference.

Quran McCain, 25, and his wife Cheryl McGregor, 62, took to the platform to address a common comment that they receive that reads: "Why do you go so hard for someone who's 37 years older than you?"

Watch the video below:

Captioning the video "she completes me," Quran added to the clip: "I wanna feel alive I don't even wanna die anymore," suggesting that she makes him incredibly happy.

Despite attempting to silence the trolls, some comments were still targeting the couple making comments involving the word "grandma" and discussing how Cherly would have been 37 when Quran was born.

Luckily, there were some who saw the video and took to the comments to spread messages of positivity in support of the couple.

"You 2 are cute together. I can't wait to be as happy as you guys one day," one person penned with another adding: "Age is a number if you are both happy then let it be."

As reported by the Sun, Quran and Cheryl met when he was 15 years old at her son Chris's fast food restaurant Dairy Queen in Rome, Georgia.

The pair didn't date straight away, as they got together in 2020. with Quran popping the question in 2o21 before they eloped to Tennessee in September of the same year to tie the knot with two friends present.

The happy couple intends to start a family together and is exploring the possibility of having a surrogate carry the child for them.

Although people have mixed opinions on the couple, their TikTok account charting their relationship has amassed over three million followers.

Quran previously told The Morning Show in the US: "We are just going to keep living our lives because we are happy, we are very much happy, this is a happy healthy marriage, we are looking to start our family and that’s all we got."

It seems like the pair are happy together, and as the saying goes, live and let live!
